Imlay Township: Board of Review

The Imlay Township 2025 March Board of Review will be meeting at the Imlay Township Hall located at 682 N. Fairgrounds Rd, Imlay City, MI 48444. Meeting times will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Petition forms and Poverty Exemption applications can be picked up at the Imlay Township Hall by appointment or printed through the township website www.imlaytownship.org. Petitioners are encouraged to have any relevant information to their appeal in advance. Appeals may also be presented by mail or township drop box but must be received prior to the close of MBOR on March 13. Late petitions cannot be accepted.

Imlay Township Budget Public Hearing

The Imlay Township Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed Imlay Township budgets for the fiscal year April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026, at the Imlay Township Hall, 682 N. Fairgrounds Road, Imlay City, MI on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be the subject of this hearing. Copies of the proposed budgets are available for public inspection at the Imlay Township Hall.

The Imlay Township Board will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting up to 7 days notice to the Imlay Township Board. Notice of Intent to Prepare the Materials Management Plan

On August 8, 2024 Lapeer County has filed its Notice of Intent to Prepare the Materials Management Plan and has become the County Approval Agency as required per Part 115, Solid Waste Management, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act,1994 PA 451, as amended.

Lapeer County intents to complete the MMP development as a MULTICOUNTY plan with: Tuscola, Huron and Sanilac Counties. Please note that all materials management planning committee meetings are open to the public and notices of these meetings shall be found on the Tuscola County website www.tuscolacounty.org or copies can be picked up at Tuscola County Recycling at 987 Ellington St Caro, MI 48723 in addition each municipality will receive notice and will have the meeting notices available as well.

Early Voting for the Presidential Primary

Imlay Township is the host site for Early Voting for the Presidential Primary (February 17th to 25th, 2024) for the City of Imlay City, and Imlay Township.
The hours for Early Voting are 8 am to 4 pm.

The Township Offices will be open for regular business on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 1 pm, only. The office will be closed January 19, 2024, for President’s Day.

Imlay Township Planning Commission - Public Hearing
